Now you have learned the Five Dysfunctions of a Team, Let’s look at the measures that author Patrick proposes to overcome the same. However, if you prefer to learn the same over an inspiring story of Kathryn Petersen, a newly appointed CEO of a Technology company who had transformed her firm by removing these five dysfunctions, then certainly you must read the Book. I would only summarize the five dysfunctions and measures to avoid or overcome the same in a brief manner. If that can add value to you as a recommendation, then why not! With this blog I mainly intended to pen down the collection of my notes, thoughts and summary of my read. The personal need of the hour urged me to quickly borrow this book from my friend Reghu, when I saw this as part of his 2019 collection. I had this book on my wish list for quite some time. This is neither the first Leadership fable that I read nor the last. I exactly picked this one while I am preparing myself towards one such transition. It’s certainly a must read if you are one or when you are in the transition phase of moving from Individual Contributor to Leadership role. It’s a Leadership fable but not necessarily meant only for Leaders and Executives.
